Bewdley Regatta
Bewdley, named in the 14th Century as Beau Lieu, French for “Beautiful Place”, definitely has some lovely scenery to explore, on the western side of the River Severn. At the end of July it becomes a hive of activity when one of the biggest and best attended inland river regattas takes place.
During the weekend of 25th and 26th July Bewdley Rowing club rowers of all ages come to compete in races. One of them is the ‘Sprint Eights’ event, a very fast race for teams of eight, which takes place on Saturday 25th.
Why not enjoy everything this part of the country has to offer and combine your visit to Bewdley Regatta with a Weston Cider Break at the Abbey Hotel?
Two night’s accommodation is offered along with a chance to enjoy a taste of the Three Counties with a visit to the Weston Cider Mill in Ledbury. This tasty weekend also includes dinner with wine on both nights and a full English breakfast.
