4/5Good value for money
Reviewed on 22nd April 2024Overall the hotel is good place to stay, ideally situated in the town centre. Things a little dated inside but the main thing is I had a good night's sleep throughout my stay and the breakfast was good.

5/5a gem of a hotel in a beautiful and unique setting
Reviewed on 22nd April 2024A wonderful stay in a unique hotel with pleasant, helpful and cheerful staff. The hotel has not been "modernised" in the bland, characterless style of so many counterparts. It retains all the charm and opulence of an Edwardian hotel, set alongside a former mediaeval abbey., one of the few in England left partially intact by Henry VIII. The bar felt cosy, the restaurant simple yet elegant, and our room was excellent. Good coffee and tea facilities, a mini fridge, bottled spring water and large TV were all provided. We were on the 3rd floor, reached via a magnificent staircase or lift.
The restaurant food was tasty and well presented. A complimentary bottle of wine was given to us on our arrival. breakfast was excellent, a buffet style hot English, a variety of fruit compotes with yoghurts or a continental alternative were avaiable; or a blend of all three, if you were inclined to. As already alluded to, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and obviously pleased to work there. I would heartily recommend The Abbey Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay while exploring the delights of hilly Malvern.
