The Wipers Times by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman
The true and extraordinary tale of a satirical newspaper created in the mud and mayhem of the Great War is told in The Wipers Times at Malvern Theatres this September. The show had a sell-out run in the West End and an appearance at the Passchendaele Centenary in Ypres, where the show is set. Taking the audience back to the First World War, two officers discover a printing press in a bombed out building and create their own newspaper for the troops. In contrast to the sombre life in the trenches, the newspaper is a cheerful, subversive and funny tabloid designed to lift the spirits of the front line. The show comes to Malvern Theatres on 17th September, and a pre-show talk will be held on the 18th September.
This Is The Greatest Show
Inspired by the imagination of PT Barnum, This Is The Greatest Show sees a cast of West End Singers accompanied by a live band take a journey through musical favourites from hits such as The Greatest Showman, Moulin Rouge and Barnum. It is sure to be a memorable night at the Malvern Theatres, which will have you singing along and dancing in the aisles. Showing only on 26th September at 7.45pm, be sure to prebook your seats to avoid disappointment.
