The Morgan Motor Company Tour
Malvern, known for its truly magnificent countryside has another treasure to offer tourists and enthusiasts alike, The Morgan Motor Company.
Henry Fredrick Stanley Morgan, affectionately known as HFS to his friends, began by opening a garage business before going on to design the Morgan Three-Wheeler, which he put into production. To improve sales, HFS entered his car into the MCC London to Exeter trial, won a Gold medal and thus the Morgan Car began its popularity.
Over the last 100 years, Morgan cars have developed from the iconic 4-4 to the famous Morgan Plus 8 progressing on to the new Aero Supersport, depicting the very best in technology and environmental sustainability whilst maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship. I am sure that HFS would be pleased with the progression that his company has made especially as they have remained independently owned by the family, one of the last remaining companies to be so.
The Morgan museum will give an insight into this remarkable man’s life and achievements and give you an opportunity to see these remarkable cars up close, transporting you through the motoring ages. A visit to the factory is a must; visitors can see how a bespoke Morgan is built and the 177 strong workforce in action.
At the Abbey Hotel, closely situated to the Morgan Motor Company, we currently have a great offer available; two nights’ accommodation with dinner on both nights (including half a bottle of wine each on the first night), full English breakfast, entry to the Morgan Motor museum and a tour of the Morgan Motor factory.
