Worcester Christmas Fair
There are many Victorian-themed events taking place during the Christmas period; however, the most authentic and largest Christmas Fair takes place in the West Midlands, in the picturesque town of Worcester.
What better way to begin your festive season than with a bag of roasted chestnuts and a glass of mulled wine, whilst listening to live barrel organ music under the stunning backdrop of Worcester Cathedral? If you close your eyes you could almost be back in the 1800’s!
In its 22nd year, the festival runs from 27th to 30th November with hundreds of visitors returning annually to get inspirational, unique and hand-made Christmas gift ideas from the many stalls selling jewellery, toys and household decorations, all at very reasonable prices.
Children will love the Victorian carousel, jugglers, stilt walkers, ‘new’ old fashioned sweets and creating gifts in the craft market, whilst the whole family is guaranteed to love the traditional and international food on offer at the food stalls; all helping to make your Christmas day that extra bit special. For more information visit the Worcester Christmas Fair website.
If your appetite has peaked from all those delicious sights and smells, the Abbey Hotel is a close by. With stunning views over the Vale of Evesham, the Priory View Restaurant offers a delicious range of food, and families are warmly welcomed. Our young guests can choose from their own under 12’s menu or choose a children’s portion from our main menu (at half price).
