Worcester Ghost Hunt
Are you feeling exceptionally brave this Halloween? If so, then an overnight ghost hunt is a must at Britain’s most haunted location, The Commandery.
This Saxon chapel, located beside Sidbury gate, is steeped in history having served as a hospital for over 500 years. The headquarters for Charles II during the Battle of Worcester, it was also the place where his Royal Commander in Chief, the Duke of Hamilton and his men died from wounds suffered in the conflict. It is said that the Duke’s spirit now haunts the Solar room according to a recent event where a visitor, arriving early for a meeting, entered the Solar room only to run out again a few minutes later in terror, too terrified to explain what he had experienced, but vowing never to go into the room again!
Join the paranormal investigators and clairvoyant medium in a ghost hunting workshop and vigil using specialised hunting equipment to hopefully catch a glimpse of the many spectres haunting the building. Don’t forget to bring your camera and camcorders, as you may be lucky enough to capture the paranormal entities such as the crying woman in the Preacher Room, the ghostly monk walking across the Minstrel’s Gallery or hear the clattering of armour and swords outside of the Great Hall!
As this is a very popular event, you will need to make bookings in advance here.
